Educational, rehabilitation and compensatory activities for MDVI children

The activities provided by the „Little Light” Project take place daily, for a period of 3 hours and they are organized in individual and group activities, following a unit based curriculum („Spring”, „Things that grow”, „Animals”, etc.)


Group activities: Individual activities:
» Morning Circle

Is a group activity that involves equally all students to practice their social and communication skills. The students get to know eachother and to interact with their peers and educators. They will practice their cognitive skills- orientation in time and space (day of the week, month, season, year, etc) and they will be able to identify their daily schedule, anticipating the next activity.

The activity will start with all children sitting in a circle together with the educators, by singing a specific song- "The morning song".

After that, every child will have the opportunity to greet his peers byt shaking hands,giving hugs, saying "Hi" to their classmates using a switch or other communication devices. They will identify the day pof the week, the daily schedule and activity that follows, getting ready for the day.
