From the meetings between ARUS team and the managers of mainstream schools and kindergartens, we concluded that challenging behavior is a frequent problem in school institutions.
Without the appropriate knowledge and methods, teachers can't prevent the increasing violence in schools and the high number of students who are dropping out of school.
Therefore, from may until october 2010, our organization-ARUS, developed and implemented "Teachers training in challenging behavior at children and adolescents" project for 75 teachers from 3 schools from Timisoara and Sacalaz.
Teachers benefit of 60 hours training (18 hours of theory, 36 hours practice and 6 hours of evaluation).
The results of the project were shared with other teachers from different schools from our region.
